This impressive, colourful, musical masterpiece, with its remarkable puppetry was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students and staff alike. We all left the theatre utterly thrilled by this musical theatre experience. The students on the trip were a delight and were complimented on their excellent behaviour by members of the public.
A Year 10 students’ thoughts on The Lion King trip:
The production started at 7.30pm and ended at 10.00pm at the Birmingham Hippodrome. We took the coach to the theatre from school. It was good vibes, everyone was laughing and anticipating the amazing show we were about to watch.
Picture of the character Scar
The lights and costume reflected each character perfectly. Scar was portrayed as bone like to represent his bitter and cold attitude. Sharp claws and spikes to show his ruthless acts like Mufasa’s death. Scar’s movements were quick and sharp to portray his character.
Picture of Simba and Nala
Nala and Simba, their dance moves were quick and fluent to show their love when they are together and when they are apart their movements are slower and softer.
