On Thursday last week, two year ten students, Malia and Zahra, competed in the English Speaking Union’s public speaking competition. Malia, as speaker, gave a 5 minute speech on systemic change in society; while Zahra fulfilled two roles: chair and questioner. Both students won the first round, competing against schools in the local area and are now looking forward to the next round of the competition in the new year.
