PROJECT GAMBIA – Day 5

Mrs Sevier writes…

Day 5: A Super Saturday!

This morning all of us went to Omega school. This is a wonderful school, and our students had a fabulous time singing, dancing and completing arts and crafts with the children. The students of this school were so receptive to ours that we were delayed getting back to the hotel for lunch because no one wanted leave!

We are hoping that this is a school that Earls will be able to maintain a link with long term; they are on a new venture to purchase land to build a bigger school as their student population grown sooooo much in the last four years!

After lunch we returned to St Peter’s to complete our third session decorating the classrooms. We have a final session on Monday to complete the rooms, I feel that there may be steam coming off of our paintbrushes!!

The students are chilling in the pool as I write this, having had a quick stop at the supermarket on the way back to the hotel.

Tonight, there is karaoke…stand by Gambia, Mrs Sevier might find a microphone in her hand after dinner!!! 🤣
