On the evening of Friday 27th November 2009 Earls Collegiate students slept “rough” in the school hall to raise money for Crisis at Christmas. The charity aims to end homelessness by delivering life changing experiences. Christmas is a particularly difficult time for homeless people many of whom have no family. By providing centres at Christmas Crisis aims to help people take their first steps out of homelessness.

Mrs Begley (senior tutor of the Earls Collegiate) would like to thank Ms Murray, Mr Meacher and Mr Ridley for all their support and congratulate all the students who took part for giving up their time to help others and their great humour throughout. It is hoped that we will raise over £500.
