Annual Book Quiz

The Earls High School Learning Resource Centre

has once again participated in the Annual Schools Literacy Book Quiz organised by Dudley Schools Library Services.

The competitors consisted of teams of five Earls High students from each form in years 7, 8 and 9.  In preparation for the quiz each team was required to read four books and also gather extra information on each author.

Among the many books chosen by the Quiz Masters from the Library Services were:

'Blood Hunters' by Steve Voake for Year 7

'Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief' by R Riorden for Year 8

and

'Frankenstein' by Pauline Francis for Year 9

After successfully winning numerous knock-out rounds a team from 7N, 8L and 9R rose victorious to make it through to the finals.

THE FINAL WINNING TEAM were from 8L and consisted of:

9R were a close second place and consisted of:

and they were each rewarded with large Easter Eggs.

And 7N came in a close third place and consisted of:

and they were each awarded a bag of mini Easter Eggs.

A big well done to them all!
