Edgmond Hall 2009

This music residential weekend just gets better and better.  Forty students and five staff travelled out to rural Shropshire on Friday afternoon for a weekend of musicmaking, creativity, social bonding and fun!

This year we took students from the wind band, jazz ensemble and also Lacisum, our senior choir.  Students spent around ten hours over the weekend rehearsing material for our annual Carol Service.  To compliment this we spent time out and about orienteering, analysed the effectiveness and relevance of The Simpsons as a model family through their movie and had a fancy dress party and silly games on the Saturday evening.

I think it would be fair to say that everyone had a thoroughly good time working and making music together.  On behalf of all the staff I would like to say a huge "Thank you" to all the students for their hard work, patience and good humour.  We will now look to build on this hard work in the coming weeks to make the Carol Service an evening to remember.

Well done everyone - the staff are looking forward to next year already!!
