The Art department has invested a serious amount of time in redeveloping its structure, resources and lessons to suit both the New National Curriculum, Creative and Media Diploma,BTEC and GCSE Specifications. The pupils will continue to receive a high standard of education within the arts but we have focused on the following two projects within each year group

Project 1 -  Painting and Drawing

Project 2 - 3 Dimensional Studies  or  ICT

It is hoped that in the near future all our lesson plans will be available for download through our school learning gateway, known as the DGFL Portal, allowing pupils and parents to be aware of what is involved in our project based work. Your children will also have the opportunity to access our visual and audio resources.

We are pleased to say that the new BTEC Art and Design and Diploma in Creative and Media, which were launched this September, have proved to be a popular and successful addition to the department.
