Students and staff at The Earls High School in Halesowen came together last week for the publication of GCSE results. There is lots to celebrate, and we are delighted that the number of students achieving a strong pass is above the national average.
Charlie Dunn, Isaac Harvey, YuXuan Wu, Steven Tsvetkov, Iman Chowdury, Maisie Pearson and Summer Bains have done exceptionally well, with 34 grade 9s, 25 grade 8s and 12 grade 7s between them. There are many other individual success stories where students have achieved fantastic results whatever their starting point, and who are now progressing to a wide range of vocational and academic opportunities.
Headteacher Nic Hirsch said, ‘We are all delighted by what our students have achieved. They have demonstrated commitment and resilience throughout their time at The Earls, and these results are the reward for their own hard work, but also the belief and dedication of staff at school, the excellent start that they had at our local primary schools and the support and encouragement of their families.
We are proud of the wonderful young people they have become, and know that they will continue to make a positive contribution to our local community. We are confident that they will thrive in their next steps and wish them all the best for the future.’
