Year 7 have a weekly reading lesson, and year 8 one lesson per fortnight.

During reading lessons, students will:

• Independently read a book of their choice
• Discuss what they are reading with others
• Read a novel as a class, practising reading fluency, vocabulary, comprehension and inference
