Well, always a slightly brutal travelling start to The Gambia week, but we have made it in one piece and the students have already been a credit to The Earls High School.
We met last night at school and travelled down to Gatwick. After checking in we had a slightly delayed start before embarking on our 6 hr flight. We got to our hotel this afternoon at 4:15pm. Students located their rooms, collected water bottles and dropped off their resources prior to enjoying a well-deserved dip in the swimming pool.
After a shower and some dinner, we are just waiting for the evening entertainment (some kind of drumming band) before we all head to bed!
