Marvellous Macmillan Coffee Afternoon!

Marvellous Macmillan Coffee Afternoon!

Students, staff and parents enjoyed a delicious fundraising event for Macmillan Cancer research at our recent coffee afternoon, raising a magnificent £400!

Year seven students had baked an incredible range of treats for everyone to enjoy, and the judges had a very difficult task deciding on the winners.

Thank you and well done to everyone who baked, bought cakes and all of our lovely volunteers. See you next year!

Craft Club – Autumn Lanterns

Craft Club – Autumn Lanterns

Craft club kicked off this week, when we made beautiful autumn lanterns. Students decorated jam jars using fallen leaves and silky craft resources before adding rustic string and beads. LED candles will illuminate the leaves creating a lovely autumnal glow.
Everyone had a great time – a super way to finish this half term!

Students get creative for National Poetry Day

To celebrate National Poetry Day, Year 7 students took part in a ‘Plant a poem’ activity during English lessons.

Students wrote a poem based on the theme of the environment using paper embedded with wildflower seeds. In the Spring, the poems can be planted and students can watch their poems ‘grow’!
