Over 150 Earls students took to the stage for our annual Summer Concert, delivering an evening of outstanding musical performances.
Throughout a full day of rehearsals, students demonstrated exceptional musicianship, commitment, and determination as they worked together to prepare for the concert. Despite the warm weather, spirits remained high, with regular water breaks and a well-earned ice lolly helping everyone stay cool and focused.
The evening began with a spectacular performance from the Brass Band, opening with Back to the Future, arranged by one of our talented students, O. Hayward. The programme continued with performances from the Little Big Band, before the Choir captivated the audience with an inspiring rendition of Sia’s Unstoppable.
A special moment of the evening came from the Jazz Band, who bid a fond farewell to Mrs Sevier as she prepares to pass the baton on to a new director. Their energetic performance of the classic Tequila brought plenty of audience participation and was a real highlight of the concert.
The evening concluded with a powerful finale featuring all of our ensembles performing Aretha Franklin’s iconic Respect, bringing the concert to a memorable close.
We are incredibly proud of all our performers, who maintained a professional attitude and delivered a stellar performance despite the challenging heat. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, and congratulations to all of our students on a fantastic evening of music-making.
