Year 11 students said goodbye to The Earls High School in style recently when they attended their last assembly and prom.
The morning kicked off with students collecting their hoodies, prom tickets and catching up with their friends over cookies and squash. Staff and students then went into Hall A for the Leavers’ Assembly where they were treated to nostalgic photographs from their last five years, music from a Y11 band and of course final speeches from Head Boy and Head Girl.
Later that evening students travelled to The Copthorne Hotel various by various modes of transport including horse and carriage, VW Campers and of course, the classic limousine and then, after a few posed photographs, they were welcomed into their prom, which this year had a movie theme, by Mr Smith, Head of Year 11.
Students (and some staff!) took full advantage of the dance floor, throwing shapes right up until midnight. During the evening Josh and Abbie (Head Boy and Head Girl) presented Mrs Wells with a bouquet of flowers in gratitude for her hard work in organising the prom.
After all that partying students now get a few weeks rest before results day on Thursday 24th August.
Good Luck Year 11!
