House Engineering Competition

Students attempted to reach dizzy new heights yesterday in the annual Year 10 and 11 House Engineering Competition. While neither Cobham or Shenstone managed to raise a team for event, two teams from Abbey and one from Hingley battled on in a contest of skill and ingenuity against an ever ticking clock. After 90 minutes of construction, Hingley took first place with a construction of exactly 4.00m in height. While this doesnt beet the all time record for the event of 4.35m, Hingley were a clear metre ahead of 2nd place Abbey, who managed 3m and third place Abbey’s (2nd team) 2.35m.
