Bushcraft 2019

120 year 7 students travelled to the estate surrounding Chalmondeley Castle in Cheshire, for three days of back to basics adventure, on this year’s Bushcraft residential. They were treated to great food, exciting activities and a chance to live without the conveniences or distractions of technology. In fact, this was as close to off grid living as risk assessments will permit, with only a single cold water tap and a row of portaloos to remind them of civilisation. If that wasn’t enough: sleeping in self made shelters, wilderness first aid, learning how to fillet salmon and, for the very bravest adventurers, eating raw fish eyeballs, were just some of the superb activities on offer.
