Children in Need Competition Prizewinners

We did something different for Children in Need this year. Mrs Heath, one of our parents, spent the year crocheting squares and turning them into huge blankets. Year 7 and 8 were given the task of estimating the number of squares in the blanket for a pound-a-go to win either a chocolate hamper with a £20 Wilko voucher (1st prize), a huge teddy bear or a chocolate bouquet. Raising nearly £300 the prize winners were Brooklyn whose estimate was only one square away from the right number, David and Megan. Now all they have to do is get the prizes home! Our huge thanks to Mrs Heath for all of her hard work, to Mrs Dimmock and Mrs Ilkew for organising things and to all the year 7 and 8 students for getting involved. The blankets have been donated to the RSPCA who will make good use of them. Mr L
