UK Parliament Week

Earls students engaged with democracy, during UK Parliament Week. Activities involved the development of in-school political parties, live political debates, filming of PartyPolitical Broadcasts, which culminated in students voting for candidates in a mock election. There was also a chance for students to ask questions of politicians from both National and Local tiers of government, during surgeries held in Hall A. On Friday afternoon, James Morris, Member of Parliament for Halesowen and Rowley Regis, was Joined by former Earls student and now local councillor for the University and Scotforth Rural Ward of Lancaster City Council, Amara Betts-Patel.
